LIVE: Giving the Honor Flight a Bounce
FARGO — They’re always looking for ways to fundraiser to send the region’s veterans to Washington D.C.
For many of those vets, it’s the first chance they’ve ever had to see the monuments and memorials in their honor in person.
And this weekend, you can give those fundraising efforts a bit of a bounce, by bouncing yourself.
The new “Holiday Bounce Benefit” is coming to the metro this weekend.
It’ll offer a variety of bounce games, courtesy of Moorhead-based “Games to Go.”
The proceeds from your participating will go to help pay for the Honor Flights lined up this spring out of Fargo and Grand Forks.
Two flights head out of Grand Forks in April, a single flight in May.
And Honor Flight organizers Lori Ishaug says the waiting list for them is already hundreds of veterans long.
Ishaug and Games to Go’s Brian Bach joined the Morning Show to talk about the work they’ve already done to pull off the trips and why they want to make sure every veteran gets a chance to see D.C.
