People Forced Out of Home By Attic Fire in East Grand Forks

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (KVRR) — People are out of their home in East Grand Forks after a fire in the attic.

East Grand Forks Fire Department was sent to the house fire on the 500 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast around 10 a.m.

Crews found a small fire in the attic of a back bedroom and quickly put it out, containing damage to the room.

The rest of the house has light smoke damage.

Fire investigators determined that the cause was most likely faulty wiring.

Red Cross is helping those displaced.
