Phase II of Fargo Parks Sports Center Unveiled
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The wait is over! Fargo Parks Sports Center is now 100% open and operational.
Phase 1 of the project at 6100 38th Street South opened in June.
That part of the building featured a majority of the basketball and volleyball courts, the walking track, and the area operated by Sanford Health which has a gym and specialized equipment for physical rehabilitation.
“Let’s get our community as active as possible. Let’s keep everybody as healthy as possible. Let’s give everybody a hub in our community where they can gather together – whether they’re 85 or 8,” said Brian Shawn, Senior Business Development Partner at Sanford.
“It’s been in the works for quite a few years, and we are just so excited at the Parks District to let everybody come in and just experience all the facility has to offer,” said Kali Mork the Fargo Parks Sports Center Director.
The first kids were on that playground at 8:21 this morning and tonight the first hockey practices are being held.
