Fargo’s “Name a Snow Plow” Winners Are Announced On The Same Day as Minnesota’s

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — More than 1,100 people voted and these are the winners in Fargo’s “Name a Snow Plow” contest:

Betty Whiteout

BoomChickaPlowPlow

Buzz Iceclear

Plowabunga

Teddy Snowsevelt

and Wheeler Snow Peeler.

The names will now go on city snowplows.

They came from around 600 submissions that were narrowed down to ten by Public Works and Engineering and Mayor Tim Mahoney and Deputy Mayor Denise Kolpack.

The people who submitted winning names will receive Fargo gear and be featured in a city video.

A couple of fun names have won the 2024-25 Minnesota Department of Transportation “Name a Snowplow” contest.

In our area they include:

Snowtorious B.I.G. in District 4 in West Central Minnesota.

You’re Welcome in District 2 in Northwest Minnesota.

And Don’tcha snow in District 3 in Central Minnesota.
