UPDATE: West Fargo man Arrested For Arson After Shed Fire

(UPDATE 5:45PM) — An arson arrest is made after a fire in a shed near a mobile home in West Fargo.

39-year-old Jose Rodriguez of West Fargo was arrested after an investigation in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue East.

He was taken into custody for arson, terrorizing, criminal mischief and domestic violence assault.

WEST FARGO — A fire was reported in a shed near a mobile home in West Fargo Monday, March 3.

The call came at around 9 a.m. for a fire in the 400 block of 2nd Ave.

According to the West Fargo Fire Department, heavy smoke and flames were visible when they first arrived.

Crews were able to quickly knock down the flame, saving the vehicle that was inside.

The fire was contained to the shed, but the mobile home did receive some smoke damage.

“A little after 9 a.m. we got dispatched to a report of a shed on fire. When I arrived, the shed was attached to the trailer,” said West Fargo Fire Department Chief Joey Porter. “We found heavy smoke conditions coming out of it. Got a little bit of smoke inside the trailer, but no fire damage.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate is not yet available.
