NDSU Bison Football Celebrated at The White House By President Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) — President Trump welcomes FCS National Champions NDSU Bison Football to The White House.

The president was presented a No. 47 Bison jersey by head football coach Tim Polasek.

“Trump” was written on the back.

Wide receiver Braylon Henderson presented the president with a Bison helmet.

They were both gifts in recognition of the team’s 10th NCAA Division championship in 14 seasons.

NDSU athletic director Matt Larsen and Polasek shared thoughts on the season and thanked the president for the chance to visit Washington.

Also in attendance at The White House were former governor and current Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and his wife Kathryn Burgum, along with former South Dakota governor and current Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and current North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong.

The team also had lunch at the Capitol with Senators Hoeven and Cramer and Rep. Fedorchak.
