Nordic culture club hosts 2025 Scandinavian Festival

MOORHEAD — The Hjemkomst Center was busy with food, music, and vendors for this year’s Scandinavian Festival.
Those attending the festival are greeted by volunteers wearing traditional Nordic clothing.
The food was a very popular attraction, serving foods and desserts from Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
There are also many vendors selling Nordic-themed crafts.
Among the vendors were many local authors promoting stories from our area, or recipes for Scandinavian food.
“There’s almost 30 vendors here today, or people displaying things,” said Nordic Club President Marit Hordvik. “We have everything from chocolate to rose mulling, to lefsa chips, fresh lefsa, wood carvings, books – we have a lot of authors here.”
The Scandinavian Festival runs through Saturday.
