Life’s a Beach at Anime Fargo

FARGO — Life in this city could almost not be any further away from the beach if we tried.

But that’s okay, because the folks behind the annual Anime Fargo convention are bringing the beach to us.

This year’s Anime Fargo convention is themed “Obligatory Beach Episode.”

It’s the go-to event for fans of Japanese animation and the culture around it.

They’ve got voice actors, artists, vendors, tabletop and arcade games, and more.

And of course, part of the spectacle is seeing all the dedicated fans in their cosplay.

Organizers say it’s grown each year since its inception, with more vendors, more guests, and more games this year than ever before.

Anime Fargo’s Emily Jacobson joined the Morning Show to talk about what it’s like in the last couple of weeks of organizing before the convention kicks off September 26th, and what to expect from the all-ages-friendly event if you go. (Children under five get in without a ticket.)
