Ghoul Morning: The Haunted History of Downtown Fargo

FARGO — It was the runaway success story of last year’s Halloween season.

And this year, Haunted Downtown Fargo tours are back with some fresh locations that are part of the city’s tragic history.

It also returns to some old favorites, like the Ivers building, the site of a former mortuary.

And the Prescott building, once a hotel, where the murder of a Minnesota farm girl took place.

This year they’re adding locations, including the First Avenue Market building and the Romantix bookstore.

The two-hour tour doesn’t just delve into the supernatural.

It focuses on the real-life historic events that gave provenance to some of the stories that survive today.

Tour guide Bill Balsley and Lunatique Boutique’s Deanna Dahlsad, (which is inside First Avenue Market), joined the Morning Show to talk about Fargo’s dark past and the stories that arose from it and live on today.
