MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is continuing to solicit feedback from the public regarding their grand plans for the I-94 corridor in Moorhead.

The department, alongside project managers Bolton & Menk, held an open house at Minnesota State Community and Technical College on the evening of October 15.

Those involved said they’re happy with how the project is progressing, and that much of the feedback they’ve received so far is in line with what they expected.

People are largely worried about additional crashes or other safety concerns caused by the ongoing construction.

MnDOT says the important thing is that those affected by the project are making their voices heard.

“A lot of the time, when you’re in planning, you don’t hear people coming out, unless it’s something super exciting, like a new trail or park,” explained Rose Bruce-White of MnDOT. “But to hear people this excited and passionate about a highway project – it is great to have them participate.”

The DOT now moves into Phase 3, which is study documentation, and includes their final report.

That will take place between November of 2025 and April of 2026.
