Fargo man sentenced after summer chase and SWAT standoff in Moorhead

CHRISTOPHER RINGSRUD-KNOWLES

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A Fargo man who was found hiding in the attic of a home in Moorhead after a chase and standoff this summer is sentenced.

42-year-old Christopher Ringsrud-Knowles pleaded guilty to burglary, fleeing and illegal gun possession.

He was sentenced earlier this month in Clay County court to seven years in prison.

At the time of the July 14 incident, Knowles was out on bond for a possession of explosives case in Grand Forks County and two drug cases in Minnesota.

He led officers on a chase before ditching his vehicle and running inside a home occupied by two people, who were not hurt.

Knowles was found in the attic by SWAT after several hours and arrested.

His passenger, 30-year-old Alexandria Lang of Fargo, was arrested for obstruction and aiding an offender.
