Grand Forks Structure Fire Shuts Down Part of University Avenue

According to the media release received at 12:05 P.M. on January 17, the fire is not yet fully extinguished.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) – The Grand Forks Fire Department is working to extinguish a structure fire at 1323 University Avenue.

According to a media release from the department, the fire broke out just after 7:00 A.M. on January 17. Crews arrived at 1323 to find smoke and fire coming from a multi-story building at that address. They were quickly able to contain the blaze to that building.

There were no injuries to any occupants or firefighters on the scene. However, the department says the scene is still active and they are continuing to work to fully extinguish the fire. University Avenue is closed from Washington Avenue to 15th Avenue until further notice.
