Man who died after falling into the Red River in Fargo-Moorhead on Monday is identified

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Police Department has identified the man who fell into the Red River and was later pronounced dead at a Fargo hospital as 39-year-old Trevor Stephens of Fargo.

They say the incident is still under investigation.

Stephens was seen walking on the ice on Monday afternoon before he fell into the river near the Main Avenue Bridge.

Fargo and Moorhead fire crews pulled his body from the water about an hour later.
