A Growing Concern: Yard and Garden Palooza 2026 Registration Opens
FARGO — Don’t be fooled by the mid-50 degree highs during the day.
It’s still too early to start planting our gardens in the region.
But it isn’t too early to get started planning for the start of gardening season.
Registration is open now for the biannual Yard and Garden Palooza.
It’s the gathering that pulls together the experts from NDSU’s Extension, plus the region’s master gardeners.
This year’s keynote speaker is the nationally-renowned author of “Foodscaping,” gardening writer Charlie Nardozzi.
The breakout sessions will cover diverse topics like backyard beekeeping, flower design, lawn care, and the hot new perennials coming out this year.
NDSU Master Gardener Don Kinzler is one of the organizers of this year’s all-day session, set to happen at Shanley High School April 18th.
Kinzler joined the Morning Show to talk about what you can get started doing right now in the yard and garden, and what to know about this year’s garden gathering.
