Man arrested for fleeing after getting stuck in a field in Grand Forks County

GRAND FORKS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A report of a reckless driver swerving and going 84 in a 70 Sunday afternoon on Highway 2 turns into a chase in Grand Forks County.

A deputy located the suspected vehicle being driven by 44-year-old Trenton Kary.

At first he pulled over to the shoulder but then took off and eventually drove into a field and got stuck.

A perimeter was established since Kary refused commands to give himself up.

He attempted to flee again but got stuck for a second time.

Irritants were tossed into the vehicle and he was taken into custody.

Kary was treated for minor injuries before being taken to jail for fleeing, DUI, reckless endangerment and preventing arrest.

He was also cited for having an open container and speeding.
