EVELETH, Minn. (KVRR/FOX9) — A reality TV star with roots in the Iron Range of Minnesota is running for Congress.

Luke Gulbranson has announced his candidacy for Minnesota’s 8th congressional district.

“Yeah, I’ve been on reality TV but that’s drama for show. What’s happening in D.C. is real drama with real consequences and the stakes couldn’t be higher.”

The Democrat and Eveleth native made the announcement during a campaign video posted to YouTube.

Gulbranson was on Bravo’s “Summer House” for three seasons.

He is now a real estate agent, hockey coach and owner of Luke’s Maple Syrup brand.

Republican Representative Pete Stauber has held the seat since he flipped it in 2018.
