After a long process, Fargo’s Convention Center Committee is about to pick the site

Convention Committee Meeting
Fargo Convention Center Committee meeting. 10/24/25.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo’s Convention Center Committee will meet Friday to narrow down its list of four possible sites to one.

That site recommendation will be presented to the full City Commission during it’s Monday meeting.

The four sites include an expansion to Fargodome, Scheels Arena, Fargo Civic Center, or land besides Brewhalla.

In November 2024, voters approved a doubling of the city’s lodging tax from 3% to 6% for 25 years to pay for the center.

We will have a crew at the Friday meeting and bring you the committee’s selection online and on our news casts.

It will be held from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Fargo City Hall.
