Celebration of life planned Friday for Rep. Liz Conmy of Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Services are set for Fargo state Rep. Liz Conmy who died with her partner, Dr. Joe Cass, in a plane crash over the weekend in the Twin Cities.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Friday starting at 4:30 p.m. and until 7:30 p.m. at RiverHaven in Moorhead.

Her obituary says Liz always said you shouldn’t wear black to a funeral because it should be a celebration.

People are encouraged to wear something colorful.

The Democrat died Saturday at the age of 67.

A small plane piloted by Cass, a retired Mayo surgeon, crashed shortly after takeoff from the Crystal Airport, north of Minneapolis.

The NTSB is investigating.
