Man accused of reckless driving is arrested in Walsh Co. after fleeing and hiding in a tree row

WALSH CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A Walsh County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded Tuesday night to multiple reckless driving complaints involving Darrell Rudnik in Minto, North Dakota.
Rudnik drove into a field, turned off the lights and fled.
The deputy called for help from North Dakota Highway Patrol and Northeast Regional UAS team.
Around 11 p.m, a drone found him hiding in a tree line about 550 yards from where he ditched his vehicle.
He didn’t respond to commands but was eventually arrested 45 minutes later for fleeing, refusal to halt and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
Bond was set at $10,000 cash and his next court appearance is set for May 11.
