Sabin City Council member running for Clay County Commission

SABIN, Minn. (KVRR) — A longtime Sabin City Council member is running for Clay County Commission.

Tom Berglind is running in District 3 which represents the southern half of the county.

The small business owner and 20-year volunteer firefighter says he enters the race with a record of responsibility and a pledge to never seek a higher elected office.

He is in his fourth term on the Sabin City Council and is Vice Mayor.

The Clay County Commission seat is currently held by Jenny Mongeau who has already announced her intention to seek re-election.

She was first elected to the commission in 2014.
