Lashkowitz High Rise Apartments opens for new residents

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Nearly three years after the implosion of the Lashkowitz High Rise, a grand opening is held for the Lashkowitz Riverfront Apartments.
The new building has modern efficiency homes with units for single, double, and three bedrooms.
There are five floors filled with 110 units.
The building is located in downtown Fargo, with the YMCA and bus stops located nearby.
Contractors say that with the demand for housing, the apartment building was needed.
“A lot of these families are going to be starting over. Some of them, this will be the first place that they call home. And without some of the services we provide, this would have not come to fruition,” said Brandon Dettlaff, Executive Director of North Dakota Housing Finance.
The building has a waiting list of several hundred people waiting for a unit.
