Man sentenced to life in prison for murder of childhood friend in Fargo

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – The man found guilty for the murder of his childhood friend in Fargo has been sentenced to life in prison.
Leo Dartoe was found guilty by a jury in February for the 2024 murder of Sampson Bleh at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of 12th Ave S. Bleh was shot in the chest and died despite life-saving measures from officers.
Dartoe fled Fargo after the shooting, he was arrested by police in Atlanta, Georgia in October of 2024. Agencies from five states and the federal government worked to arrest Dartoe. He was sentenced Monday.
