No Delay for Knodel Retrial

A judge denies a request by prosecutors to delay Aaron Knodel’s retrial.

The suspended West Fargo teacher will go on trial June 23 on two counts related to an alleged sexual relationship with a student in 2009.

Prosecutors may still ask that the trial be moved out of Fargo.

The judge declared a mistrial last week on two of five charges.

The trial was abruptly stopped after a juror revealed she was a past victim of sexual abuse.

Jurors were polled and revealed they would have found him not guilty on three of five counts.
