What’s Your American Dream?

The American Dream is being showcased at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead.

An exhibit installed by Dr. Angela Smith and NDSU students display the history of immigrants in the North Dakota Plains.

Father William Sherman’s collection of photos shows the lives of immigrants from more than a century ago.

The exhibit lets you post your own American dream, along with other interactive activities.

Hjemkomst Center Executive Director Maureen Kelly Jonason said, “Even today of course we have a lot of immigrants coming into North Dakota and Minnesota. And we need to be as welcoming as we were 100 years ago. We will benefit just as much as we did 100 years ago.”
