Locals skipped the grocery store and headed to Concordia to get their food staples.
Teaming up with Prairie Roots Co-Op, Concordia College hosts the 100- Mile Terra Madre Farmers Market.
All products at the market are from within a one-hundred mile radius of the F-M area.
Items sold at the market include breads, honey, fresh produce and so much more.
Kaye Kirsch of Prairie Roots Food Co-Op said, “I think more and more people want to know what’s in food and where it’s coming from. This is a great opportunity to come out and get some great food and products and actually meet the people who grow the food in our region.”
This was the first spring time market for the school.
