$2 million in Head Start Funding

Mayville and Valley City get Financial Boost

A major financial boost to Head Start programs in Mayville and Valley City.

Mayville State will get $1.1 million in federal funds to partner with local child care centers and providers to help infants and toddlers in low–income families.

Nearly $900,000 is going to the Community Action Partnership in Valley City.

It’ll support early head start and head start programs in nine counties.

The center previously had to cut children and staff due to across the board spending cuts in 2013.
