Suspect Tased Trying to Escape from Detroit Lakes Officers

A Detroit Lakes man is in jail after a chase in Otter Tail County.

Kevin Towey, 34, was wanted in Clay County for domestic assault and burglary.
His car was spotted near Vergas.

Authorities say he took off and sped down gravel roads until a deputy was able to use a pursuit-maneuver to stop him.

Towey then pulled a knife.

He was tased, arrested and taken to jail in Fergus Falls.
