Walz announces new COVID-19 restrictions
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Gov. Tim Walz says he is easing several coronavirus restrictions, citing rising vaccinations and declining COVID-19 cases.
Walz announced Friday that religious services will no longer have occupancy limits starting noon on Monday.
Public venues will be allowed to open at 50% capacity, with a limit of 10,000 for outdoor venues starting April 1.
This means the Twins can welcome fans to the baseball team’s home opener on April 8.
Nearly 1.2 million Minnesotans and more than 70% of people 65 and older have received at least one coronavirus vaccine shot.
