Crock pots are no crock when it comes to saving the planet.

The slow food, home-cooking movement is gaining ground with foodies and environmental fans alike, rendering our slow cookers and Crock Pots back “in.”

But to Midwestern home cooks, for whom slow cookers never went out in the first place, it’s a chance to show off our slow-cooker savvy.
