State Fire Marshal Investigating Structure Fires Near Mahnomen

The sheriff says the buildings had not been used for over 10 years and had no power

MAHNOMEN, Minn. — Suspicious fires at two unoccupied buildings near Mahnomen are under investigation.

The structures were engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived Monday afternoon.

They were located 12 miles east of Mahnomen on Highway 200 and both were destroyed.

The sheriff says the buildings had not been used for over 10 years and had no power.

The state fire marshal is investigating.
