Propane Tank Leak at Solar Gas Yard near Mentor, MN

MENTOR, Minn. (KVRR) — A propane leak late Monday night forced a home to be evacuated and Highway 2 to be closed for awhile in Mentor, Minnesota.

The leak was reported before 11 p.m. at Solar Gas Yard.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Mentor Fire Department determined that a 6,000 gallon propane tank was leaking.

The tank was left to disperse until it was safe to shut the valves so it could be fixed.

The evacuation was lifted and the highway reopened.

There is no danger to the public.
