Minneapolis Man Shot in the Hip By Accident While Hunting in Becker County

BECKER CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A Minneapolis man is being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg while hunting near Bad Medicine Lake in Becker County on Sunday.
Becker County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Jeremy Sailor’s hunting partner was checking to see if his gun was unloaded when it went off, hitting Sailor in the hip.
Sailor was being driven to the hospital when their vehicle broke down.
They were located by first responders and Sailor was taken to the hospital in Bemidji for non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office says it appears to be an accidental shooting and is no longer under investigation.
