LIVE: Gleaning The Lessons of A Hundred Years In Business
A new, locally-produced documentary hits the Fargo Theatre this week.
FARGO — A new documentary comes out this week at the Fargo Theatre that combines a passion for storytelling with a passion for agriculture.
And it’s all about a combine company that’s a century old, established right here in the Midwest.
Fargo-based Flint Group is releasing their documentary about one hundred years of Gleaner combines.
Parts of it were shot right here in North Dakota.
Flint’s Heidi Reisenauer worked on the project and says there are a lot of farmers here in the region who’ve used Gleaner combines their whole lives.
The film combines historic footage and photos with fresh film from this year’s harvest.
It takes a look at what it takes to build a company and make it survive and flourish in a notoriously difficult industry that lives and dies with the whims of Mother Nature.
Reisenauer stopped by the Morning Show to talk about what it was like to make the documentary, what she learned about the farming industry, and what you can expect if you turn out for the premiere Tuesday night at the Fargo Theatre.
