Moorhead Police grieves as K9 Zeke unexpectedly dies

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The Moorhead Police Department is grieving after a police K9 passed away unexpected

K9 Zeke had an acute medical emergency while at home over the weekend.

Police say Officer Brett Musich took Zeke to the emergency veterinary clinic and he died a short time later.

K9 Zeke was deployed over 150 times during his service to the City of Moorhead.

In August, the pair received the prestigious “Case of the Year 2022” national award from the National Police Canine Association.

K9 Zeke lived with Officer Musich and his wife.
