River Keepers will host Winter Solstice Walk Thursday
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The winter solstice is tomorrow and River Keepers is hosting an evening
walk.
The Winter Solstice Walk is tomorrow at M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead from 5:30 to 8 PM.
This event will take you through the trail and will be lit up by Christmas lights.
Hot chocolate will be available.
With our warmer weather, the director is excited about the interest but says parking could be an issue. Christine Holland, Executive Director of River Keepers said, “We are telling people to carpool”
Holland also said “If you get here and the lots are full, go look at Christmas lights with whoever’s in your car and come back because it should turn around every 45 minutes because that’s about how long it takes for people to walk the loops.”
This event is free for all ages with no prior registration. You can learn more on the event’s Facebook page.
