Gunshot injury in Moorhead ruled accidental

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Police have ruled a shooting that injured a 17-year-old teen Sunday as accidental.

A spokesman says the teen was walking in the 1200 block of 34th Street Circle South around 5 p.m. with a concealed handgun when it went off and a bullet hit him in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The unnamed teen faces possible charges of concealing a handgun without a permit and negligent discharge of a firearm within the city.
