Lineworkers Making Tremendous Progress Restoring Power After Christmas Ice Storm

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR:UPDATE 5 P.M.) — Cass County Electric crews continue to make progress getting the lights back on for hundreds of its members.

They are down to 111 members without power.

That is down from a high of 4,600 after the Christmas ice storm.

Over 800 broken poles have been replaced.

Lineworkers are working through the evening and will start again at 6 a.m. Friday.

They say power should be restored to all but some irrigation, drain tiles, and other vacant accounts by tomorrow.

As of this morning, Dakota Valley Electric was down to 68 members without power.

Cass County Electric crews continue to make progress getting the lights back on for hundreds of its members.

They had just under 200 members without power as of Thursday morning.

That is down from a high of 4,600 after the Christmas ice storm.

They restored power to 270 members on Wednesday.

The Valley City Service Center has the most members still without power at 170 and the most broken poles at around 300.

They say power should be restored in the next two to three days.

Dakota Valley Electric is down to 68 members without power as of this morning.

They restored power to 102 accounts on Wednesday.
