Minnesota State Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash Near Detroit Lakes

BECKER CO., Minn. (KVRR: UPDATE 1:15PM 2/12/24) — Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash just southeast of Detroit Lakes.

They say 83-year-old Fern Brown from Frazee pulled out in front of an oncoming vehicle on Highway 10 at 290th Avenue.

There were two women in the other vehicle, 47-year-old Jolene Herr and 21-year-old Jaden Herr from Wadena.

Brown was killed while both Herr women suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened around 8 o’clock Sunday morning.
