Valentine’s Day is a busy time for flower shops in Fargo-Moorhead

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – It’s Valentine’s Day, which means a lot of flowers and candy are being bought to give out. Whether it’s for that special someone or just friends, it’s a busy time for flower and candy shops.

Some of the stores we reached out to said they were already sold out on flowers, or are too busy with the amount of orders that have come through. Dalbol Flowers & Gifts say they have over 300 orders to deliver and expecting over 100 orders to be picked up in person.

“It takes a lot of preparation, we started last week getting our shipments of flowers in. Worked all weekend making the arrangements and prepping everything. It’s a lot of hours and we have a big team that helps us. It’s a lot of work but we make it happen.” said manager Rachel Wassberg Frisell.

According to economic experts in the U.S., over $2.6 billion will be spent on flowers for Valentine’s Day.
