Protest over new Minnesota state flag is set for Tuesday in St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR) — People against the new state flag of Minnesota are planning to protest.
Republican Senator Torrey Westrom of Alexandria says a rally will be held on the Capitol steps in St. Paul Tuesday afternoon.
The goal is to save the current flag.
Westrom wants people to let their elected officials know that the public should have the final say.
The new Minnesota flag and seal were approved by a state commission in December.
They are both expected to become official on May 11 which is Statehood Day.
