LIVE: Bowl For Kids’ Sake with Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Big Brothers/Big Sisters is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year this Thursday, March 14th, and next Thursday the 21st

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Hit the lanes and help kids get support they need to thrive in life.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year this Thursday, March 14th, and next Thursday the 21st.
Teams will take to the lanes at Kingpinz to raise money during ‘Bowl for Kids’ Sake’.
You can also buy bowling pins to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters at Hornbacher’s now through March 19th.
The money raised helps support mentorship programs. Big Brothers and Big Sisters are paired with kids in the metro from single parent homes. Program Director Susan Smith says those mentors have an impact that’s easy to measure.

She explains, “We measure outcomes through our program and some of the biggest outcomes that we’re seeing are that kids’ self esteem has improved, that they’re doing better in school. They have better peer relationships, better relationships with their families. They’re going on to college after finishing high school, just a better sense of future.”

You can still register a team for this Thursday’s event. Big Brothers/Big Sisters is also always looking for adults to act as mentors. Click here for more information on registering for the event and click here to learn more about signing up as a Big.
