Sobriety Checkpoint Last Saturday at I-29 & 52nd Ave. South in Fargo Nabs Two Drunk Drivers

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Two DUI arrests were made during the latest sobriety checkpoint in Fargo held early Saturday evening on the I-29 exit ramp onto 52nd Avenue South.

One thousand vehicles traveled through the checkpoint.

North Dakota Highway Patrol and Cass County Sheriff’s Office screened 13 drivers for impairment which resulted in the DUI arrests.

One vehicle stopped prior to the checkpoint and attempted to reverse down the ramp.

The driver, who only had an instructional permit, was stopped and cited.

Officers made four more DUI arrests during saturation patrols in the area.

One involved a rollover on I-94 at exit 338.

The driver was checked for minor injuries before being taken to jail.
