Judge considers release of video from State Sen. Nicole Mitchell’s arrest

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — A judge in Minnesota is weighing whether or not to release body camera video of when State Senator Nicole Mitchell was arrested.
The democrat was caught breaking into her stepmother’s home in Detroit Lakes in April.
Mitchell told police she was trying to retrieve some of her late father’s belongings.
The Upper Midwest Law Center filed a complaint on behalf of Alpha News.
They want the City of Detroit Lakes and the Detroit Lakes Police Department to release the body and dash camera footage.
The Becker County judge is reviewing the footage before making a decision.
