Local truck drivers compete in Truck Driving Championship

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Truck drivers from around the region tested their driving skills and safety at the annual North Dakota Truck Driving Championship at the Holiday Inn in Fargo Saturday.

The drivers completed a course around the parking lot that tests their skills with simulated real life scenarios.

Some of these scenerios included avoiding roadkill and an alleyway dock.

The course is designed for drivers to showcase the precision control they have over their large vehicles, while also placing an emphasis on practicing safety.

In order to compete at the Championship, drivers must be at least 1 year accident free. Bryan Wold told us he has been accident free for over 20 years on the road.
