Man in wheelchair hit during traffic collision in south Fargo

FARGO (KFGO) – A man in a wheelchair suffered serious injuries when he was hit during a traffic crash in south Fargo Tuesday morning.

Fargo Police say officers responded to 32nd Ave S. and 36th Street where a pickup failed to yield while turning left in the intersection.

The pickup hit a car which hit the man.

The man was taken to Sanford Hospital by ambulance. A witness said the man had a cut on the back of his head.

The man had a service dog with him. The dog and wheelchair were picked up by a community service officer. The dog did not appear to be injured.

The driver of the pickup was cited for failure to yield.
