North Dakota Horse Park hosts family day

Family Day

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Horse Park opened their doors to families from around the region to come and check out the races Sunday.

Their “Family Day” event featured bounce houses, a petting zoo and kid races where kids had a chance to get out on the track and run.

North Dakota Horse Park General Manager Hugh Drexler says that they love to hold events like this to get the whole family out to the races.

He added that these events also help remind people of the great space that they have up at the horse park.

“We’re just looking to kind of grow that in addition to our horse racing to make it more useful, and bring people and let them use this facility. It’s a beautiful facility, we’ve got over 100 acres, we’ve got this cover-all building, we’ve got barns for horses, we’ve got this track. Let’s use it a little bit more.”

The North Dakota Horse Park has two more weekends of races, and Drexler encourages everyone to come out and check them out.
