Gov. Burgum: President Biden Admits An Early Defeat

In a statement posted on X, Gov. Doug Burgum says “President Trump’s strength, dominant debate performance, and the party’s unity at last week’s convention has led to Biden admitting an early defeat.”

Burgum goes on to say, “Our nation is ready for a return to President Trump’s common sense leadership which will restore the American dream for everyone!”

He also says it doesn’t matter who Democrats select to run, saying “We have President Trump at the top of our ticket and he is stronger than ever!”

Burgum was in the final running to become Trump’s running mate for the 2024 election.

Trump ended up picking Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance for the ticket.
