LIVE: 10 Years of Sustainable Shopping
FARGO — You might not necessarily think of the mall as your first stop for sustainable shopping.
But the Market at West Acres might prove you wrong.
It’s been going now for 10 years, and it’s been growing, pardon the pun, each season.
Like most open air markets, it’s purely seasonal.
All the produce comes from growers who live right around the metro.
There’s also an ever-expanding group of local craftspeople and artisans.
You can find products like soaps and lotions, dog treats, preserves and more.
West Acres’s Maija Davis sat down with fellow “veggie nerd” Emily and talked about the beauty of connecting with local growers who are as passionate about their produce as you are about getting your family the best and tastiest nutrition in town.
