MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A $2 million bail with no conditions is set for the Moorhead woman accused of stabbing and killing her on and off again boyfriend over the weekend.

47-year-old Connie Jo Frank could also post a $100,000 cash bail with conditions.

Frank is charged with second degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Willard DeGroat Jr.

He was stabbed in the chest at 1025 3rd Avenue North early Sunday morning and later died at Sanford Medical Center.

Frank returned to the scene and was arrested for second degree murder.

Court documents reveal the pair had been dating on and off for the past five years.

Two other men who lived in the house say Frank and DeGroat got into an argument.

When one went to get the other for help, they found DeGroat had been stabbed.

She says she grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and stabbed him once deeply in the chest before fleeing.

On the way to the jail, police say Frank told them, quote, “I would kill him again.”
