LIVE: A Continent Full of Culture Comes to Downtown Fargo
FARGO — It’s the birthplace of mankind and a modern-day hotbed of culture and ecotourism.
But a lot of people here in the United States, and here in the region, just don’t grasp the sheer variety of Africa’s fifty-some different United Nations-recognized nations.
That could change after this weekend, with the All-African Festival taking place Saturday in downtown Fargo’s Broadway square.
Organizers say it’ll feature music, fashion, games and educational events to introduce you to some of the many different cultures from the African continent.Come prepared to celebrate, and experience a little bit of spice.
Two of the Festival’s officials, Committee Chair Oluwaseun Odeyemi and Executive Director Olasunkanmi Olanrewaju took a break from their last-minute preparations to talk live in studio about what you can learn, see, hear and do if you turn out Saturday for the Festival.
